MEET OUR VENERABLE MASTER
Whit E. Hanscom, Sr., 32°, KCCH

I am Whit Hanscom, and I look forward to serving Richmond Scottish Rite as Venerable Master in 2025. I have been involved in Masonry since 2008. I have served as Worshipful Master of Richmond Lodge No. 10 and twice Worshipful Master at St. John’s Lodge No. 36. I served as District Deputy Grand Master for District 15-A in 2022. I am currently serving the Grand Lodge as Regional Masonic Home Ambassador and a member of the Masonic Home Ambassador Committee.

I grew up in Hanover Co. VA and attended Lee Davis High School and then graduated from Virginia Tech with a B.S. in Building Construction. I am married to the wonderful and most beautiful “Shug” Hanscom who is from Sao Paulo Brazil. We have a combined family of seven children which keeps us very busy. We have a small hobby farm near Richmond which also keeps us busy. Thank you for the opportunity to serve that community in 2025 as Venerable Master of Richmond Scottish Rite.
